How to stabilize your acrylic ruler

Stabilize your acrylic ruler's by adding fine or medium grit sandpaper to the back. Use double sticky tape to attach the sandpaper to the ruler. I cut strips about 1/2" to 3/4" wide and the width of the ruler. Tape it just so it is not on the edge where the rotary blade hits it. You will be amazed how this prevents your ruler from slipping.  I also purchased finger guards for mine.  The sandpaper works much better than the other products on the market to prevent slipping. Happy quilting.
