My New Hq 16 quilting Machine

Here’s the newest addition to my sewing room.  My Hp Sixteen Handi Quilter Long Arm Machine on 10’ HQ frame. I can’t tell you how much I love this machine. Sews like a dream. Sixteen inch throat space.
My son and his wife went to Salt Lake City, UT. one week-end to pick it up for me about 10 days ago. (1400 mile trip) My son really came through for me on this. They put it all together & helped rearrange half my house and turned my previous office/warehouse into a new sewing room.
My new sewing room is 15’ x 30” with vaulted ceiling and is a very enjoyable room to use. Lots of light with 4 large windows and two lights/ceiling fans.  So nice to have all the space I need.  Now I have all my sewing in one room. My new frame and huge table Bob made me and my machines. The large table is getting lot’s of use.  I don’t know how I got along without one for so long.
Sorry, no spare bedrooms anymore unless you don’t mind the boys’ bunk beds.
I loved practicing on my new machine a few days.  Then made a small child’s quilt (42” x 60”) with simple squares for Quilt’s without Borders Charity. I quilted it with a paisley all over pattern and simple scrolls in the narrow border.   I’m happy with my first effort. The machine is easy to operate and sews really nice stitches. I can’t believe how fast I can quilt now compared to my Memory craft. Tomorrow I start quilting my daisy quilt.  It’s so much fun.  Have four other tops ready to quilt. My long arm accessories wish list is growing. But for now I’m just enjoying using my new machine.
I put a few pictures on for you.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy quilting.

  2. Yes, I find that I'm spending more time in there now it is so pleasant. Late in the afternoon it is hot though because it's on that side of the house. Take my laptop in there. Have a tv. I could live in there...............lol
